Pedro L. Cuevas, 80, of
Elmore, Ohio, died Thursday morning, March 13, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born September 9, 1933, in Mercedes, Texas, to Bernabe and Hilaria (Lopez) Cuevas. Pedro married Betty Todd in Monroe, Michigan on April 15, 1960, and she survives. Pedro worked and retired as an owner/operator truck driver for Cimarron Express of Genoa. Prior to that, he worked for Road West Trucking Co. of California, Woodville Lime & Chemical of Woodville, Ohio, and the
Ottawa Basket Factory in Elmore. His favorite hobbies were being with his family and puttering around the barn.
In addition to his wife, Betty, Pedro is survived by his children, Jeff (Rhonda) Cuevas, Mike (Jessica) Cuevas, Sheri (George) Hayes, Jeannie (Steve) Harder, and Deborah Maynard; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Marie (Joe) Urbina and Trinidad (Lancho) Jaramillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Leslie Kay Maynard and Connie Ann Maynard, and brother and sister-in-law, Juan and Lupe Cuevas.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the
