Warren Lawrence


Warren Lawrence Busack, age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at his home. The son of George and Amanda (Martin), he was born October 22, 1928, in Swanton, OH. He attended Whitehouse School through the 8th grade, until he left to help his father's farm. Warren continued to farm until the early 80s. He served his country during the Korean War from 1950-1952, and received 3 bronze stars, before his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Ruth Staler, on March 17, 1953. Warren worked for National Cement for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was a life member of VFW Post 2984. He loved farming, fishing, hunting and hours of watching old westerns. His true joy was spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Gill; sister, Mildred Mohr; grandchildren, Shawna (Gabe) Miron, Dennis (Leanne) Gill II, April (Scott) Oglesbee, Robina (Ryan) Wnorowski, Jimmy (Tiffany) Busack, Ian (Tonya) Busack, Ruth Clark; great-grandchildren, Nylah, Ainsley, Anderson, Karter, Ryder, Jaxon, Logan, Kenley, Camden, Hunter and D.J. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 56 years, Ruth; children, Jimmy, Lawrence and Rita, and faithful companion, Molly.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, from 2-9 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
