John R. "Jack"

John R. "Jack" McLean, age 91, of Toledo's Old West End, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on November 23, 1922, in Walkerville Ontario, Canada to Donald and Constance (Warrener) McLean. A decorated Veteran of WWII and the Korean War, Sergeant McLean was awarded the Bronze Star as well as the American Campaign and Good Conduct medals. He became a US citizen on January 15, 1946. Jack was employed by the National Supply Company, and as a dispatcher for Roadway Trucking. He was a docent at the Toledo Museum of Art for 15 years. A lifetime golfer, he proudly scored not just one, but two holes-in-one.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Donna on February 6, 2014. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Bonna (Ulises) De La Garza, and many friends and neighbors.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday, April 16 from 11 a.m. - 12 noon at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Please share condolences at
