James O Gibbons, 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014. Jim was a lifelong resident of Toledo, growing up on Mark Street in the North End. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and Central Catholic High School. Following his service in the U.S. Army, Jim graduated from the University of Toledo.

Jim was employed at Owens Corning Fiberglas for 27 years and enjoyed early retirement with his wife, Clarice Ann Cavanaugh (Deshler, Ohio). They were married August 5, 1961 at St. Ann's Church, Toledo. A daily visitor to Wildwood Metro Park, he loved the red trail in every season.

Jim is survived by his wife, Clarice and three children, Kathy Bilz (Jim), Colleen Bahr (Don), Jim (Erica); grandchildren, Lauren and Christopher Bahr, Kelly and Molly Bilz, and Nicholas Gibbons, and his brother, Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Helen (Gehring) Gibbons and brothers, Richard and Chuck.

Funeral services will begin with a viewing at 10:00 with Funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Historic Church. 130 Avondale Ave., Toledo. Arrangements entrusted to Ansberg-West Funeral Directors (419) 472-7633.
