A most gracious and elegant lady passed away on May 13, 2014. Violet Helen Zaleski exchanged her 96 years of earthly life to fulfill the promise of everlasting peace. Together with her parents, Alexander and Marianna Wojcik; husband, Stanley; sisters, Wanda and Irene and brothers, Ted and Raymond, she rejoices in His presence.
Violet was born on February 2, 1918, in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania in a tiny village nestled between the foothills of Penobscot Mountain and the Susquehanna River.
Violet was blessed with a classic beauty, grace and charisma that emanated from her vibrant and sharing spirit. She always "danced as if no one was watching" and now she dances with the Angels in Heaven.
Violet was a masseuse by profession. "Well done good and faithful servant" you have served Him well. With your helping, healing hands you ministered to the spiritual and physical frailties of your many friends and patrons.
Violet was the quintessential romantic and free-spirited Aquarian. Her varied travels and cruises both here and abroad mirror her love of mountains and water. The dimensions of her life, the artistry with which she lived and loved are reflected in the memories of her energy, courage and strength. She had a passion for life and an excitement in entertaining and caring for family and loved ones.
Violet is survived by her loving daughter, Ramona; her dear friend, Christine Murphy; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wojcik and many caring nieces and nephews.
