Janice Marie Heller of Maumee, OH, formally of Haskins, Ohio, passed away May 25, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on December 20, 1951, to William and Mildred (Baumbarger) Heller.
Jan was employed by Carruth Studio, Inc. for 21 years. She began by working in customer service for 3 years and then worked as the bookkeeping/accounting department manager. Jan's favorite thing to do was spend time with family and friends. She also loved to travel.
She is survived by the love of her life, David Fritz; her loving children, Jennifer Olejniczak (Michael DeVries) of Napoleon, Ohio and Justin Fritz of Ann Arbor, Michigan; adored grandchildren, Logan Olejniczak and Connor DeVries both of Napoleon; sisters, Debra (Greg) Hermiller of Bowling Green, Ohio and Luane Bowley of Pemberville, Ohio; special nieces, Jodi (Rathbun) Conley, Michelle Emch, Heather Emch; supportive nephews, Craig Rathbun, Timothy Rathbun and Ryan Emch. Jan is also survived by her aunts, cousins, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She also appreciated the love and support of her wonderful Michigan family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred (Baumbarger) (Swanson) Heller; sister, Diane (Swanson) Rathbun; brother, Donald Swanson; brother-in-law, John Rathbun; grandparents, Verne and Bessie (VanScoder) Baumbarger and Reverend Carl Heller.
Jan's family will be receiving friends and family on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home 18620 Washington St., Tontogany, OH (419) 823-4471. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Wakeman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
