James Larry Keller of Ottawa Lake passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at home. He was born October 1, 1940, in Deerfield, MI to James H. and Alice G. (Grasley) Keller. On December 16, 1962, he married Ruth A. Holben in Lambertville. She survives.
Larry was a millwright for Local 1393, retiring in 2000. He was a 1959 graduate of Whiteford High School. For many years he enjoyed his classic cars. With his wife and 1963 Dodge, they did five Hot Rod Power Tours. The cottage at Silver Lake Sand Dunes is where he enjoyed driving the dune buggy, then later the Bronco, and playing in Lake Michigan with his four grandsons, who were his pride and joy.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Greg (Sandy Bensch) Keller, Doug Keller, and daughter, Amy Keller; grandsons, Joshua, Jacon Kopp, Jim, and Tom Keller; siblings, Carol (Gene Johnson), Jerry (Ginny) Keller and Dan (Suzanne) Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may gather on Monday, June 2, 2014, from 4-9 p.m. at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Family suggests contributions to the Parkinson's Disease Regional Office, 580 Craig Dr. #8, PBM#202, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
