Mr. John N. "Napoleon"
Mr. John N. Palmer, 90, of Toledo, OH, and formerly of Dayton, OH, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was a graduate of the Jesup W. Scott High School and an Honorably Discharged U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in WWII. He was a school bus driver for the Dayton Board of Education, prior to retirement.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Jacqueline Phillips and sister, Justine Hamilton. Surviving is son, Johnnie (Teresa) Palmer Sr.; daughter, Christine Palmer-Alexander; 15 grand, 31 great-grand and 3 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Charles (Kathy) Richards of Akron, OH and Timothy James Palmer of Corinth, MS and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at The C. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. 1629 Nebraska Avenue. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, preceded by Family Hour/Wake Services at 10 a.m. at The Greater St. Mary's M.B. Church, 416 Belmont Avenue. The Reverend Robert Lyons, Pastor and Officiant. We would like to thank the Marie Joseph Center of Dayton, OH, Dr. Paul Oatis and staff at the Veterans Administration of Toledo, OH and Hospice of Northwest Ohio of Toledo. The burial with military honors will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, in the Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. 3rd Street, Dayton, OH 45428-1008
