Edward P. Ramm, 90, of south Toledo, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Ed was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He worked for Fiske Brothers Refining Company for 30 years.

For 23 years, Ed and his wife, Shirley enjoyed spending the winters in Myrtle Beach, SC. He loved to play golf. Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Ed loved to sit on the front porch in his swing and could be found there most every day.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Josephine Ramm; brother, Howard Ramm, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Ramm. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Shirley (Olmstead); children, Edward Ramm, Gary (Sue) Ramm, Ronnie (Peggy) Ramm and Glenna Jean (Carl) Wilson. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

Family and friends may gather together on Sunday, June 8, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Hospice for their comforting care and support.
