Mary A. (Ulery)
Mary A. Ulery-Dixon, 92, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, in Kingston Residence of Sylvania. She was born on March 28, 1922, in Fancy Farms Kentucky to Crystal and James Rowland.
Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed at Cake Nook as a cake decorator and teacher. She enjoyed cooking and especially gardening, receiving countless awards for her flowers, gardens, and city beautification. Mary was married to Noel Ulery on September 15, 1946, and Wilkins Dixon on January 8, 1988, both of who preceded her in death.
Mary's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving children, Larry (Joyce) Ulery, Linda (John) Beck; stepchildren, Mary (Robert) Reinbolt, Patrick (Joanne) Dixon, Mike (Mary) Dixon, Thomas (Eileen) Dixon, Sharon (Shawn) Sobel; 6 grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren, and 22 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepsister, Jean Strahm.
Mary's family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Kingston of Sylvania. They would also like to thank the staff at Senior Independence Hospice, especially Cindy and Ann for the excellent care that she received.
Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave. Visitation will also begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Pius X Church where the Mass of the Resurrection will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
