Donald J. Goetz, 83, of Walbridge passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Lutheran Home of Toledo. He was born on December 23, 1930, in Toledo, to Fred and Ada (Navarre) Goetz. Donald was a graduate of Waite High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force, as an Airman First Class Crew Chief Engineer, during the Korean War. He worked as a pipe fitter for L.O.F. with Local 9 for 30 years, retiring in 1981. Donald was a past commander from 2000 to 2004 of the Arthur Daly American Legion Post #334 and also held various positions with V.F.W. Post #9963. He was a former member of the Holy Rosary Church.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Goetz; children, Wade (Kim) Goetz and Jane (Gary) Pokornik; granddaughter, Ally Goetz; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Larry) Pfitzer, Kathleen Goetz; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Goetz and sister, Joanne Przysiecki.

Arrangements are being handled by the Freck Funeral Chapel. As per Donald's wishes there will be no services. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the .
