Thelma Elizabeth

Thelma Elizabeth Bryant, age 79, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Waterford at Levis Commons surrounded, by her loving family. She was born on September 11, 1934, in Northwood, Ohio to Fred and Ledora (Fredrick) Thompson. Thelma married her husband, Willard Bryant, on June 11, 1955, and were married 56 years, and he preceded her in death.

Thelma was a cook at Timbers Bowling Alley for 17 years until her retirement. She also was active in the Maumee Elks as a past president and was honored as Elk Lady of the Year. Thelma volunteered countless hours as a member of the Elks. She enjoyed line dancing, shopping, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter, Dorene (Dave) Adams; sons, Gary (Sue) Bryant and Douglas "Scott" (Marlee) Bryant; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ethel J. Lambert, Fred Thompson, Jim (Mary Ann) Thompson, and Carol (Jim) Zdybek, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the MaisonDardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice, 1754 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, Ohio or Maumee Elks Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be given at:
