Kathy Jeanne Crim, 62, of Toledo, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at her home. She was born July 16, 1951, in Monroe, MI, to George and Betty (Boudrie) Hupp. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1969, and later attended Stautzenberger College. In 1980, she married Peter Crim. Kathy had retired from Medical Mutual of Ohio in 2010 after 30 years of employment. She loved to shop and enjoyed collecting and wearing jewelry. Kathy was an avid reader of periodicals and appreciated baked delicacies. Kathy loved to laugh and had a talent for making others laugh. She was known for her spontaneous outbursts of unsolicited candor and her penchant for swearing in a soft, high-pitched voice as well as occasional inappropriate humor. But most of all she will be remembered for the love she had raising her family and enjoying all the grandchildren throughout the years. Kathy's lifelong dream was to be a grandmother and she was the most loving, attentive, ego-boosting and engaged grandmother possible.
Left to cherish her memory is husband, Peter Crim; daughter, Jolynne (Ron) Flores-Dunaway; sons, Matt (Katie) and Rick (Melanie) Flores; grandchildren, Kane and Flynn Dunaway and Zoe, Lia, Zane and Raiden Flores; step grandchildren, William, Dynasty, Koryn and LeAnna Dunaway, and father of her children, Richard A. Flores. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Hupp.
Friends are invited to attend a wake at Tamaron Country Club, 2162 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH, Sunday, July 13, 2014, at 1 p.m. for a celebration of Kathy's life.
