Norma Trudell Obituary
TRUDELL

Norma G.

"In this world there are a few people who are truly special. They go around caring for others before themselves. They have a smile on their face and love in their heart for everyone. They ask nothing in return. I see all of this and more in you." This was our Mom, Wife, Grandmother, Sister and Friend.

Norma G. Trudell passed away peacefully on July 3, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a lengthy, but courageous battle from pulmonary fibrosis. "Normie," as she was sometimes called, was born December 17, 1933, to Amos and Edith Garber. She graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 1951. Norma married Fred Trudell on June 27, 1953. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary with a dinner with family at the Waterford at Levis Commons. Norma was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for 61 years.

Norma worked at Marshall, Melhorn, Block, and Belt for 30 years and finished her working career at Toledo Edison as an executive secretary for ten years.

Norma was a member of Towne Club. She served as President and chairperson for many years. She was so proud of the group and the many charities they sponsored. She was always out getting donations to help her group. Norma loved to get people together, whether it be in her home or a restaurant, from her family, the Bowsher boosters, secretaries at work or her friends from high school. She still maintained many friends from these groups, who will all miss her.

Normie's family meant the world to her. She was always so supportive and proud of them, telling every one of their accomplishments. The sparkle in her eyes were her grandchildren, CJ and Rachel. They became her whole world. She will be in our hearts forever and never forgotten.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl, Willie, and Ken Garber; sisters, Evelyn Browning, Barb Ranville, and Grace Bialecki. She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter, Karen; son, Jim and fiancée, Christie Wagner; grandchildren, CJ and Rachel Trudell; sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Suzanne Frantz; brothers, Richard Garber and Robert Garber; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as special friends, Barb and Keith Muntz.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 8, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,1825 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville.

Memorial contributions are requested to be made to Towne Club or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
