Anna Louise (Baker)
Anna Louise (Baker) Tucker, age 96, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 19, 1918, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Charles and Agnes (Sleith) Baker. Anna graduated from East High School, Cleveland, Ohio, in 1936, as Valedictorian, and obtained her bachelors degree in English literature from Cleveland College. In 1941, Anna married Earl L. Tucker at Hough Avenue Evangelical and Reformed Church in Cleveland; he preceded her in death after celebrating 60 years together. She volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Mobile for over 50 years and volunteered over 1000 hours for Breckenridge Retirement Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally Anne Scheib; sons, David Earl (Barbara) and Richard Lloyd (Lynn Quinley) Tucker; grandchildren, James (Maritza) Scheib, Pedro (Maria) Scheib, Michael (Catherine) Scheib, and Kathryn (Mark) Sandretto; great-grandchildren, Rieko, Noriko, Helena, Rocco, Michael Benjamin, Allison, and Mary Catherine Scheib, Evelyn and Audrey Sandretto, and sister-in-law, Norma Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents; brothers, Tom and Jack (Marilyn) Baker, and son-in-law, William Scheib.
A Memorial service will be held on August 14, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Breckenridge Lyons Chapel, 36859 Ridge Rd., Willoughby, with refreshments and time with the family to follow. There will be an interment service at Lakeview Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. the same day.
