Marilyn Elizabeth

Marilyn Elizabeth Georgia, age 91, formerly a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was born December 8, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of the late Raymond M. and Jessie (Bolich) Shelton. Marilyn graduated from Toledo Libbey High School and attended the University of Toledo.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lynn Wesley Georgia, her high school sweetheart, in October 2012. Marilyn lived life like a Proverbs 31 woman.

Her family was her passion and she will be dearly missed by her children, Carol L. (Ronald) Kuck, Gregory A. (Karen) Georgia and Gail L. Lindenbaum; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Crysten, Missy, David, Keith, Ryan, and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Tori, Louis, Nick, Jae, Ava, James, Thomas, Sean, Aubrey, and Joel; other family members and many close friends.

Marilyn volunteered with the American Red Cross and served as chairwoman of volunteers. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, and was a Lioness of Lions Club. She also was the editor of the Sugar Island newspaper. She enjoyed being an artist, especially sculpting and painting. Above all else though, Marilyn loved her family and friends.
