DOOLEY

Diane Frances Feldman

Diane Frances Feldman Dooley, age 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice, in Sylvania, Ohio after a battle with respiratory complications from surgery in April. She fought her battle for the last 4 months of her life as she lived, with determination, and surrounded by love from her family and friends. She joins her husband, John Dooley; her parents, Herman and Odessa Feldman; her brother, Spencer Feldman; her in-laws, and many dear friends and family who have gone before.

Diane is survived by her children, their spouses, and grandchildren Colleen Dooley and Blake Burnham, their children Maggie, Maddie and John; Daniel Dooley, his children Sean and Brian; Dennis and Michelle Dooley, their children Justin, McKenzie and Alex; and Cathi Dooley and Len Homish, and their children Nolan and Flynn.

Diane was born in 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Ursuline Academy, The University of Cincinnati and Lourdes College. Diane and John moved their family to Sylvania in 1974 where they raised their children and enjoyed their grandchildren. Diane worked at LakePark Nursing Home from 1974 until she retired in 1996. After retiring, she devoted her professional energies to the Flower Hospital organization through years of service as the president of the Flower Hospital Auxiliary; and volunteer and fundraising activities for the auxiliary and foundation.

Diane was a 40 year member of the St. Joseph Sylvania parish. She was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to her children and grandchildren's activities. Her passion for their basketball, volleyball, football, cheerleading, baseball and other school activities kept her active and involved. She treasured her trips with her husband and her family - spending many fall seasons in Mexico and then more recently in the Florida Keys and Panhandle, as well as traveling to volleyball tournaments all over the Midwest.

Her family mourns her passing but knows that she will be enjoying an eternally relaxing time in the wonderful sunlight of heaven and with her husband and parents and friends.

Visitation will be held at Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania, Ohio on Sunday, August 24th, from 6-8 p.m. and a mass of Christian burial will be Monday, August 25th at St. Joseph's Church, Sylvania, Ohio at 10 a.m. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane's honor to the Flower Hospital Foundation, Sylvania, Ohio.
