Ocolar Macklin Jr., of Toledo, passed away on August 15, 2014. O.C. was born in Jackson, Tennessee, on July 13, 1939, to Ocolar Sr. and Rosilee Macklin.
O.C. graduated from Libbey High School. In 1962, he married the love of his life, the late Ethel C. Macklin. He was a devoted husband and father.
O.C. was very active in the community. He was President of his union at Midland Ross, where he retired from. O.C. loved to cook for his family, especially Sunday dinners. He will be truly missed.
O.C. is survived by his son, Ocolar D. (Sherry); daughter, Inez (Keith) Macklin; siblings, Jeanette (Hank) Bradley, Robert (Kendra) Macklin, Clara Hayes, Donna Russell and Debbie Macklin; 7 grandchildren, DeMon (Stacy) Macklin, LaQualle Sims, LaToya Huggins, Ocolar IV, Dominque (Jone') Gaston, Donovan (LaToya) Gaston, Ashley Pitts, Little Keith Williams Jr. and a host of great-grandchildren, special friends; daughter-in-law, Rita-Drane-Macklin, Bill and Nancy Scott, Ossie Meredith, godson, Greg Meredith, and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 7-9 p.m., at the House of Day Funeral Chapel.
Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, at 12 noon, preceded by an 11 a.m. Wake, at Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Floyd Smith, officiating.
