BISH Grace E. Grace E. Bish, 91, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 31, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lynn, MA, in 1919 to Walter and Hazel (Brown) Richardson. Grace graduated from Lynn Hospital School of Nursing and was an Army Nurse serving In N. Africa and Italy during WWII. She later married Gene Myron Bish, and raised three children on their farm in Sylvania, OH, a home that she really enjoyed. She loved to knit and was known for her beautiful gardens. Grace was a member of Sylvania First United Methodist Church for 60 years and a 53 year member of the Eastern Star May Elliott Chapter #355. She retired in 1975 after 8 years as a registered nurse for the Crestview Club Apartments. Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years; her son, Gene Richard Bish; brother, Charles Richardson and step-mother, Beatrice Richardson. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Laura L. (Robert) Bertch and Joan Brown; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and brother, George (Joan) Richardson. Friends may join the family on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 10am until 1pm, when the service will be conducted at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. Those wishing to give a memorial in Grace's honor may wish to consider The Toledo Humane Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
