BRENNER Donald A. Donald A. Brenner, 81, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday morning, September 28, 2011, at his home. He was born April 15, 1930, in Toledo to the late Donald Henry and Doris Irene (Miller) Brenner. He married Sally Scheppert July 16, 1955, in Toledo and she survives him along with their daughters, Lisa (the late Ernie) Prado, and Amy Brenner. Don will also be missed by his feline four legged furry friends, his cats. Don attended Clay High School but graduated from high school in Pennsylvania. He then attended Bowling Green State University before joining the U.S. Army and serving his country in Okinawa during the Korean War. He was a member of Riverpoint Ministries United Methodist Church and a former member of Open Bible. He had a passion for model railroading from very early years and was a member of the Blue Bird Train Club. He was an avid photographer, enjoyed gardening, and always the practical joker. Because of his strong will Don was able to battle Multiple Myeloma for over 28 years, and through the care and attention from his beloved wife Sally he was able to live in the comfort of his own home. His family would like to thank Dr. Mounir Elkhatib, Dr. H. Ritter, Dr. George T. Maly, and Dr. Omar S. Salem for their wonderful care which allowed Don to live many more years than anyone would have ever thought possible.
