WEBER George A. George A. Weber, 82 years, of Oregon, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Eleanor Jennings Adult Home in Rossford. George proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was born to George A. Weber Sr. and Rachel H. (Hancock) Weber in Jackson, Michigan on October 19, 1929. He worked many jobs including the New York Central Railroad, Toledo Overseas Terminal, and eventually retired from The Toledo Edison where he worked as a stationary engineer. He will be remembered as a man who went out of his way to help others, "The Tinkerman" with the ability to fix about anything, and devoted husband and father. He also enjoyed his motorcycle. George A. Weber is survived by his children, Kathleen (Michael), Cairl and Christine Williams. He leaves his brother, Larry Weber (Joanne); sisters, Marcella Shank, and Jerry Carman. He also leaves 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rose Y. Weber. Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hoeflinger - Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio 43616. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street, in Walbridge, Ohio. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, George's wishes were that any expressions of sympathy or tributes to his memory would be considered for donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.hoeflingerfuneralhome.com
