My deepest condolences to the family of Miss Ryzmek. I also was of a student of hers back at St. Adalbert in the 70's. I also remember her as a vibrant, caring teacher. I apologize for the late message, i moved out of the Toledo area in 2011 and just was made aware of her passing. I remember she had kind of a rare car, an AMC Gremlin X. Neat to a fifth grader. Your family is in my prayers, once again sorry for your loss.

Dear Bobbi,Fred and Mickey, I was so sad to hear of Lynette's passing. I have such great memories of all of us playing together at your house on Fulton St. Also of your Mom taking us to see all of the Christmas manger scenes around town. I shared that story with my kids and grandkids many times. Please feel my love and prayers at this difficult time. My Mom and siblings all send their love and prayers as well. Please share with Allison and Abby our sincere sympathy and love too. I hope to see all of you some time soon. God bless all of you as you go through these very difficult days ahead. Much love as always, Bonnie

Dear Family,

I was shocked to hear of Miss Rzymek's {As we called her at St Adalbert's School.} She was a young, vibrant, creative teacher. Also she wore the most beautiful shoes! She taught two of my sons in the 5th and 6th grades.

Her approach was so refreshing. She thought of ways to capture the students attention. I talked to her many times during the school year. She was always open to new things and learn about what the kids were interested in.

I was amazed at all your mom accomplished in her lifetime!

Our sympathy to the family. The world has a great loss!

I can't believe that I didn't know about your Mom being a teacher at St. Adalbert. I taught there also, and had siblings of some of those students who posted tributes to Lynn. No matter what she did, her loving, creative nature shined through. She adored her daughters. I'm sure she still does.

I know Lynn best through her beautiful daughter, Abby, our creative graphic artist, who works with me every day at our business. I met Lynn briefly, connected with her warm spirit instantly, and enjoyed conversation around a bonfire on a cool fall day last year. I would have liked to have known her longer. At least I can see her in Abby often and I do---her love for children, for teaching, her creative nature, her enthusiasm for competitive sports. Thank you for sharing your daughter with me, Lynn, and yes, we will take care of her (something she thanked me for doing when we met). Your memory will always be with us, Lynn. Rest in peace.

To The Family of Lynnette Rzymek Ethington:

My sister Julie lives in Florida and told me of Miss Rzymek's passing. I had Miss Rzymek as a teacher at St. Adalbert School in Toledo, Ohio. I must tell you that she must have had a BIG influence in my life; I am thinking because she was young, vibrant and full of energy, as I was as a young child. I'm now 50 years old. I liked staying after school just talking to her. I remember riding my bike with two girlfriends from grade school; Jean and Carolyn, and we rode all the way to Point Place to visit her at her home. From Lagrange and Manhattan Streets, Point Place was some distance away. We just wanted to say "hi". I'm sure it was my idea.

Sorry for your loss and I will keep you in my prayers.

I remember Miss Rzymek from St. Adalbert --- And as this guest book confirms --- I am not the only former student to remember her. To her family, take comfort in something she may or may not have known, namely, that she had such a tremendous influence on a lot of young lives. Now her spirit, and what made her special to all, lives in us. Rest in Peace Miss Rzymek.
