Edward John Jr.
Edward John Andrews Jr., 63 years, of Ida, died Monday at his residence. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Thursday, from 2-8 p.m. He will lie in state at St. Joseph's Church, Ida, Friday, September 14, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. Fr. Frank Eckart will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born June 7, 1949, in Toledo, he was the son of Edward J. and Gertrude (Nickels)
He was a 1967 Bedford High School Graduate, and received a Associates Degree in Business from Monroe County Community College. He also earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. Edward married Nancy Dusseau, March 27, 1982, in St. John's Church, Monroe. A route salesman for Interstate Brands for thirty-one years, he also was an Iron Worker in Toledo, for five years. As a boy, he was a Boy Scout, a member of the 4H, and worked on the family farm in Temperance. Edward loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Ida, and served as Eucharistic Minister for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; sons, Robert and Mark; daughters, Renee and Karen; brothers, Norman (Sue), Daryl (Cindy), and Dale, and sisters, Cindi (John) Kevern, and Dawn Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, and nephew, Michael Andrews.
