It's been one year today that God called you home and there is not a day that goes by that I haven't missed your smile, touch, your laughter. I still don't understand why as this day has come. One year without you has been the hardest struggle for me. I love and miss you. I may not be able to see but you are still my prince.

Del, I remember you from Owens Tech Auto shop. You always had a friendly smile, and you were so much fun to be around. You treated everyone with great respect and caring, and made people feel welcome. You were a very good teacher. Hands-on training, and no rush like some of the other teachers, you stayed with the student until they learned the job. I remember you stayed with everyone until they "got it" and made sure of that. And then we all laughed again because you helped make it fun. God Bless you Del.

I met Del when I first started at owens at the TT (Transportation Tech.) in 2002 and we use to joke around and talk when he had a spare minute in between classes. We would talk about cars and how to repair them (always a need for that information) enjoyed his nice smile and his jokes. Will miss him greatly. Rest now and see ya later.

I'm both saddened and stunned to learn of Del's untimely passing. Another classmate taken far too soon! I first met Del in 5th grade at Monac Elementary. We hung out a lot and I will forever remember his epic parties at his house. He was the consummate car buff, even back then. It was his passion. (As was his pinkish-purple Grand Prix later in high school. The ultimate "prairie schooner"). The world has lost a special person! Please accept my sincerest condolences. Until we meet again Del....

Delbert was the best friend I ever had. We met in 5th grade and were friends for life. The many times we would hang out at
his mom & dads house and talk or have a beer. Or we would be driving and he would end up wearing what he was drinking, or driving and taking a corner to fast and doing it on two wheels. I am going to miss my friend and those that know Delbert are going to miss him as much as I will. The ones who will miss out are the ones who never knew Delbert. He never had a bad word about anyone. Evelyn I know your heart is hurting right along everybody else. If there is ever anything I can do for you all you have to do is ask.

Del was one of the nicest guys that has ever touched my life...I met him first when I was 14 and the times that we shared could never be duplicated....he made me laugh. I have great memories of hanging out with him and his mom in the mornings before school and driving around in his pink Grand Prix! Delbert...you were one special man and you will be missed.

Del had a big heart, wonderful sense of humor, helped many people, and will be missed by many. Del and my Dad enjoyed many conversations on the phone. told myself many times driving past his house I should stop and see how he's doing if for no more reason than to admire his prize winning roses again. he did so much for so many. breaks my heart to know one of my heroes has passed.

Del was the best!! He never forgot his friends and always kept in touch. He brought me and my family much peace when my father was ill and we couldn't be there to help everyday. Whenever my mother needed assistance, she would call Del and he always was there without hesitation. He was a loving and giving person and after 30+ years of friendship, I will miss him very much. Evelyn, know that he loves you and know that you will be together again in Heaven. My thought and prayers are with you. Love and God Bless! Ting

Del my sweet Del you will be so missed, if ever I had a friend you were he, I have know you since 1992 how we met and when we met I will always treasure, we have had so many hours of endless conversation, drinking a few LITE beers together in your backroom, and I will never forget the Bowling Pin you fancied up for me as a gag gift as a xmas exchange. What I will miss most of all is a phone call from you saying Hello Sweetheart.. You always made my day at work and also your special love for your pet. You will be sadly missed and my heart and sympathy goes to your wife. May your star shine bright from above.. Love ya buddy... Karen McMichael-Fehrenbaker

I will always remember the first time I met Del and the fun we had, the friendship that we formed & the times I stopped by to just say hi & chat. He helped me through quite a few rough times with his words of wisdom. I will miss you Del,however I know that you are still my "best friend" and still helping me thru the rough times. May God bless you and I know that he has a very special place reserved for you.
