Catherine Sackrider Obituary

SACKRIDER

Catherine Ann

Catherine Ann (Baranek) Sackrider, 59, of Orland, Indiana, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, is in heaven fishing with her much loved and missed husband, John H. Sackrider. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Geraldine (Leininger) Baranek. Cathy worked for many many years at Osterman Jewelers and then Osterman API. She enjoyed such activities as fishing, camping, puzzles, baking, gardening, anything involving her grandkids, and watching reality TV (especially 'Survivor' with friends Char and Rich Kelly and she couldn't visit without taking a fresh homemade pie). She was an extraordinary mom, daughter, grandmother, sister, friend, etc. who would help anyone, with anything, anytime without hesitation.

Surviving Catherine is her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chad Blanton; adoring grandchildren, Mackenzie and Cooper; brothers, Mike (Linda) Baranek and Jim (Tami) Baranek; brother-in-law, Marvin (Vicki) Pearson; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Jim) Welniak and Joanne (Orville) Holmes, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, and sister, Cindy (Baranek) Pearson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the W.K Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., Toledo Ohio 43615. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012, in the Funeral Home. Though I never knew you, I do know Megan and of her connection with you as god-daughter. You were in our prayers for weeks. To your family, my deepest sympathy. It helps me to think you are with God in Heaven, at last understanding the purpose of everything. God bless the whole family.
