Marie Fink, age 89, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2012, in her home at the Swan Creek Retirement Village in Toledo.

She was born to Earl and Agnes Sowers on January 23, 1923, in St. John, MI. She spent her career working as a Certified Dental Assistant until the time of her retirement. Marie was the founder of the well known "Fun Timers", a group of lady clowns made up of Shriner's Wives that entertained children and joined in parades. She served as a Director of the YMCA in Jackson, MI for many years and was a lifetime member of Eastern Star. She also found time to write a novel. Marie loved reading, making quilts and sewing clothing for her grandchildren. Busy hands are happy hands. Her love was known to all around her. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Roy and her family.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Roy; step-children, Kevin (Annette) Fink, Terry (John) Woodyard, and Colleen Jackson; sisters, Ruth Towers and Shirley Diehl; as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 17, 2012, at Swan Creek Retirement Village, 5916 Cresthaven Ln., Toledo, OH 43614 at 3 p.m.
