Later, after retirement he enjoyed golfing with his buddies and his children. He also looked forward every year to the Keil, Mazzurco Memorial Golf Outing which was always a great gathering of his south Toledo friends. He was a 42 year parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help exemplifying his strong faith and love for family, he was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and the Maumee Elks.
