Donna M.



Donna M. Brownell was called home to her heavenly Father on December 31, 2012 at the age of 84. She passed away peacefully at Ebeid Hospice with her family by her side. Donna was one of seven children born to Helen and Anthony Barabash, on May 4, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. She worked for many years as a para-professional with the Toledo Board of Education, retiring in 1989. She also worked as a teller for the Toledo Trust and First Federal Banks and was an assistant buyer for the former

Lasalle's Department Store in downtown Toledo. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest "Brownie", her infant son, David

Christopher, her parents, brothers, Walter and Ronald Barabash and sister, Dorothy Bauman.

Donna is survived by her sisters, Geraldine (Al)

Lusiak, Delphine "Corbey" Corbett, Joan (Richard) Keith and 15 nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Angie Sorosiak, a special caregiver who provided assistance and support to Donna for many years and to the caring staff of Ebeid Hospice.

Friends are invited to visit on Friday January 4, 2013

after 11:00 a.m. in the

Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo where

funeral services will follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. Private interment services will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or Ebeid Hospice Center. Online condolences may be expressed at

Aunt Donna was a fun loving and colorful woman and who always had a "compliment" for one of her nephews and nieces. I will always remember her great style and of course the love of her life, uncle Brownie. They are back together again forever. Love, Greg
