Evelyn Rita

Evelyn Rita Radlinski, 90, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on November 17, 2012 under the care of Hospice of the Valley, Sun City, Arizona. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 17, 1921 and was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy.

She was employed by Doehler Jarvis during the 2nd World War and worked later on for The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, The University of Toledo, and Ohio Bell retiring in 1977.

Evelyn was a founding member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Toledo, the president of the Altar and Rosary Society and cochairman of the dinners at the annual festivals. She was a member, for over 30 years, and active in the auxiliary for the Disabled American Veterans in Toledo and Sun City. She not only visited the veterans in the hospitals but also made lap robes and bibs.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Aloysius Radlinski; daughter, Judith (Joseph) Janicki; son, Allen (Dee) Radlinski; grandchildren: Dr. Joseph (Jessica) Janicki, Julie (Anthony) Amato, Jeremy (Tiffany) Janicki, Aaron (Meggin) Radlinski, Brad Radlinski, Craig (Melonie) Radlinski and great-grandchildren: Allison Bernard, Andrew and Matthew Radlinski, Vivian and Eva Janicki, Lorenzo Amato and Xavier Janicki.

A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 24, Post Office Box 1911, Sun City, AZ 85372-1911.
