It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my best friend - my mom, Alice M. (Janicki) Wisniewski. Alice, age 82, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at her home. She was born on August 24, 1930, in Toledo, OH to Andrew and Angeline (Bialorucki) Janicki. Alice worked for the Woolworth Drug Store, the Jeep Corporation, Mayfair Drugs and Lehn & Fink, but her primary vocation was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was a strong and feisty woman, full of "DYNOMITE," the only daughter in a family of 6 children. An avid Engelbert Humperdinck fan, she was able to travel and attend many of his performances with her daughter Sandy, making friends with fellow fans along the way. The thrill of a lifetime for Alice was meeting Engelbert after a concert in Joliet, IL just two months ago. Alice loved to shop, and she loved to cook and clean. She also enjoyed going to the casinos, and traveling many times to Las Vegas and as far away as Monaco. She was very family oriented and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a charter member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Dan O'Brien) Pheils; grandchildren, Bob Barboza, Lisa Klein, Shelley Williams and Steve Pheils; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marcie Wisniewski, and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, and brothers, Michael Janicki, Raymond Janicki, Daniel Janicki, Frank Rosinski and Gerald Rosinski.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, January 25 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., where members of the Regina Coeli Altar Rosary Society will lead a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. James Auth presiding. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
