Ned Anders Griggs, age 64, of Avondale, AZ passed away December 28, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1948, in Wauseon, Ohio to Lloyd and Joan (Lytle) Griggs. Mr. Griggs graduated from Wauseon High School in 1966. He is survived by his daughter, Betsey Murry (Bill); son, Patrick Griggs; one grandchild, Zoe Murry; sisters, Jill Daoust (Tom), Judy Falor (Gary), and brother, Kim Griggs (Kelly).
Ned worked for 39 years at Fulton Industries in Wauseon. He started as a teenager mowing the lawn around the plant and retired as president and CEO of the company. Fulton Industries was a place of great pride for Ned. His wonderful people skills with everyone he encountered were his best asset, making him a successful business man in the manufacturing industry.
Ned moved to Avondale, AZ in 2008 to wake up to the warmth of the sun shining each day. Beginning as a small boy, Ned loved the outdoors. This love included fishing, hunting and his last hobbies of reloading and gun collecting. Mr. Griggs was a member of the Elks Lodge, Fulton County Sportsmen Club, National Rifle Association, Wauseon Chamber of Commerce and past chairman and member of the Wauseon Homecoming Committee.
Friends may visit the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, 219 S. Fulton St., Wauseon, Ohio on Saturday, February 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. The family requests, in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Fulton County Sportsmen Club, Inc., PO Box 151, Wauseon, OH 43567.
