Keith J. Stone, 66, a former Toledo resident, and a 1964 graduate of Libbey High, passed away February 24, 2013, in Spring Hill, Florida.

Keith was proud to have served as a Toledo Police Officer for more than 9 years, retiring due to health issues. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Keith was a Navigator aboard the U.S.S. Hornet that recovered the astronauts when they returned from the Apollo 11 Mission to the moon.

He is survived by his daughter, Libby (Kevin Militello) Stone; son, Brian (Ann-Marie) Stone; grandchildren, Spencer Keith and Madeline Marie Stone, and sisters, Elizabeth S. Stone, Melinda J. (Daniel) Stone, Robin L. (Douglas) Dreps, Judy M. Ranieri, and Ruth (Kenneth) Norbeck. Keith was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Stone.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service begins at 1 p.m., interment with Military Honors will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
