Carl Walter Harris, 88, of Toledo, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Carl was born on March 14, 1925, in Toledo, to William Carl and Edith May (Pattison) Harris. Carl was a proud United States Coast Guard Veteran of World War II, and worked for 30 years at Doehler-Jarvis.

Carl loved his family, church and playing cards. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Carl is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine M. (Pickering) Harris, his parents, a sister Rose, brothers; Charles and James and a daughter, Catherine E. Kokensparger. Surviving are sons; Carl W. Jr., Robert E. (Lydia), Kenneth A., David L. (Jill), and Dennis J., daughters; Barbara M. Ziegler, Alice M. Havens, Leona L. Miller and Marsha A. (Ron) Parker, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

A special Thank you to the members of The First Apostolic Church for the warmth and caring help he received, to Brother McConnell for all the hours he spent with him and to his granddaughters, Eva Polek, Wanda B.and Torrie for helping in his final days.

Funeral Services will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH 43560 on Friday, March 29, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 2 hours prior with Pastor Kris Dillingham officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The First Apostolic Church, 5701 Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623 in memory of Carl or to ProMedica Hospice.
