John W. "Bill" Jr.

To be missed but never forgotten by family and friends, Bill passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous fight with male breast cancer since 2008. He was 61. Bill worked for Kuhlman Concrete Corp for 33 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Morin Point Fire Department, serving for 20 years. Bill enjoyed NASCAR, attending his hosta gardens, he could fix anything and would help everyone that he could with this gift. He was very crafty and enjoyed helping his grandchildren design projects for school and just because. Bill has a wonderful crazy sense of humor and his greatest joy in life was his family and especially his grandchildren. He loved attending their hockey games and watching horseback riding competitions.

Bill was preceded in death by parents, John Baker, Sr. and Gertrude Barnett, and uncle, Robert Thomas, and mother-in-law, Florence Kugler. Left to cherish his memory are loving wife of 37 years, Toni Baker; daughters, Tiffany (Jim) Huss and Misty Baker; grandchildren, Andrew, Brock, Paige, and Malory; grandmother, Orah Truckee; sister-in-law, Penny Whipple; father-in-law, Fred Kugler; extended family, Bobby (Jennifer) Mikolajczyk along with nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin in the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., (419.726-1583) on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 14, 2013, from 12:00-1:30 p.m. with funeral services starting at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Cindy Getzinger officiating, interment will be private. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Bill's name are asked to consider the Hickman Cancer Center, 5200 Harroun Rd Sylvania, OH 43560 or Messiah Lutheran Church, 4703 N Summit St, Toledo, OH 43611. In serving Bill's wishes, those attending the funeral service are asked to please dress casual and if you were ever in the to please wear your tee shirt or any pink shirt in his honor.
