Paul H. Boes passed away on August 30th, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born to Clement and Mary Boes on December 11, 1944. Paul was a 1963 graduate of Macomber High School, a millwright at Dana Corporation, and a pipefitter retiree from General Motors. He was an avid sport fan; Paul
enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons, and Redwings, but Paul loved his Michigan (go blue) football the best. He also enjoyed watching his grandsons play football for the Rams and little league baseball, and most recently he became a fan of rugby. The family hopes there is a big screen TV in Heaven, so Paul doesn't miss a game. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and
fishing with his brother and cousins. He traveled to
Florida yearly, took many cruises, and enjoyed visiting the dog park in Ann Arbor with Bella.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Joe Boes. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 27 years, Pat; his sons, Paul A. (Jacqueline Layng), Douglas, and Bill Block; daughter, Dawn Boes; grandchildren, Dayna, Tyler, Bill, and Jake; great-grandchild, Cole; twin brother, John, and sister, Kathleen Walters.
The family would like to thank their friends, family, neighbors and the Wednesday breakfast group for their support. There will be a
tailgate celebration of Paul's life on September 15, at the Toledo Speedway, 5639
Benore Rd., Toledo, from 2-6 p.m. Please wear your favorite team's clothing. Those wishing to donate in Paul's name are urged to consider the St. Vincents Children's Hospital, 2213 Cherry St., Toledo, OH 43608.
