McMillan E.

McMillan E. Kosier, age 82, of Toledo passed away on

October 11, 2013. He was born to David and Eleanor Kosier on October 14, 1930. He

attended Libbey High School and went on to serve his country proudly in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict from 1951-53. After his discharge, he married the love of his life, Helen Ohlman, and together they raised 3 children.

In August of 1958, he began his own business, Kosier Hardwood Floors and successfully ran it for over 50 years, until the time of his retirement. He was known as the best hardwood floor man in town. He enjoyed roller skate dancing, round and square dancing, hunting, archery and fishing. He also enjoyed many happy hours remodeling and spending time with family and friends at his cottage in Cheboygan, MI. Mick's favorite way to begin his work day was meeting his friends for early morning coffee.

Mick was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen; children, Brian (Nancy), Eric (Tammy), Becky (Kevin) Taylor; grandchildren, Nicole Kosier, Erin (Brad) Kunz, Austin, and Mitchell Kosier, David, Abigail, and Madeline Kosier, Alyssa and Seth Taylor; brother, LaVern (Margaret) Kosier, and many, many, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Monday, October 14 from 2:00-8:00 p.m., where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday,

October 15, beginning at 9:15 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or to the St. Luke's Hospital Foundation to support the Pulmonary Rehab Program.
