Rita Chappell Obituary
Rita Kay
Rita Kay Chappell, daughter of Hope and Glenn Chappell, was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 26, 1957, and died December 5, 2013. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Marjorie and James McArthur.
Rita was an amazing, fun-loving human being, whose laughter brought smiles to many a dreary day. She was creative and energetic and used her artistic talents not only to sew the perfect Halloween costumes, but to solve those daily household problems with her "out-of-the-box" thinking. For over 30 years she used her creative talents as a beautician and she was a trainer for her profession. Her commitment and dedication to her company and customers meant everything to her.
Rita is survived by her brothers, James R. McArthur and Joseph McBrayer;
sisters, Kim McArthur and Brenda McArthur McBrayer; nieces, Cara McBrayer, Jessica McArthur and Candice McBrayer Pipes; nephew, Michael McArthur, and best friends, Kris and Ken Wagner.
A Celebration of Rita's life was held this past Sunday and the family is requesting that any donations be made in Rita's name to the Toledo Humane Society. Professional services were provided by Reeb Funeral Home, where online condolences may be offered to the family at

I was so sorry to hear of your passing. I will miss you. You have watched our children. We have watched you grow as a person. You have cut my hair for over thirty years. We had some crazy conversations,you could make me laugh. Then on some days you could share what's was on your heart. I have prayed The Lord ,was waiting for you with arms opened wide, to embrace you. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes, we saw you pass away. I am truly saddened by Rita's death. Rita was more than just a friend; she was like a sister to me and a long time roommate. I've known her since the first day of kindergarten. She was an amazing person.
Her passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Rita's memory will always remain deep within my heart. Good-bye friend.

So sorry for your sorrow, Rita always gave an idea, and, a challenge to any question asked. She has cut both mine and my Sons hair for over 25 years and we have had many off the wall conversations. She has brought a shining light to many people on her journey............
