John A.

John A. Davis of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born January 31, 1922, in Edinburg, OH, son of the late Charles and Alice (Taylor) Davis. He was happily married to his sweetheart, Helen M. Davis, for 33 years.

He is survived by his brother, James Davis; daughter, Tina Davis; stepdaughter, Peggy Stewart; stepsons, James (Becky) Stewart, Donald (Nancy) Stewart; 10 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Even up to his death he was preaching God's word, playing the piano and singing, and touching people's lives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Bible Chapel, 3740 W. Alexis Rd. Toledo, OH. A gravesite memorial will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at noon at Edinburg Cemetery, Edinburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
