James A. "Jim"
Of New Hope, MN, age 82, died peacefully on May 7th, 2014. A long-time resident of Perrysburg, Ohio, Jim moved to Minnesota in 2012 to be closer to family.
After graduating Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio, Jim joined the Army and proudly served during the Korean War. Jim worked for Toledo Edison over 30 years and was a pioneer in computerized data processing. Jim was well respected by his coworkers for his analytical skill. Besides his life-long love of all things computer related, Jim was active in the First Christian Church, Perrysburg American Legion post, and was an officer for many years in the Odd Fellows (IOOF), Grand Lodge of Ohio.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mamie and Arthur; brother, Lawrence; sister, Evelyn, and his wife, Lois. Survived by his sons, William, Glenn, and James (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Heather, Jeff, Ella, Nickolaus (Mindy), and Nathan (Christine); sister, Gerry (Tom) Halpin of Florida, and numerous cousin, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bernadette "Kim" Quadling, Dr. Brian Dixon, Berry Rushnick N.P., and all the wonderful staff at St. Therese Apartments and Nursing Home for the compassionate loving care given to Jim over these past 18 months.
Funeral service Friday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m., (visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service), at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, Ohio. Interment at Toledo Memorial Park, alongside his beloved wife, Lois. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the
