Richard R.



Richard R. Skeens, age 68, of Howe, IN died March 10, 2015, at his home. He was born on January 24, 1947, in Fremont, OH to Clarence R. and Elizabeth (Steward) Skeens. He graduated from Rogers High School, Toledo, OH in 1965. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. When he returned home from the Air Force, he was employed as an Aircraft Mechanic and had previously lived in Toledo, employed as a Lathe Operator. He enjoyed attending car shows, repairing cars and talking about cars.

He is survived by his brother, Daniel Skeens of Temperance, MI; sister, Brenda LeCount of Howe, IN; 1 niece and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, David Skeens and 1 sister, Rebecca Scurlock.

Services were held Saturday March 14, 2015, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN. Military rites were performed by the American Legion Post #215, LaGrange, IN. Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN is handling the arrangements. Online condolences can be sent at:
