Originally from Cleveland and then the Bay Area, he came back to Cleveland for law school and there he and his wife and eternal soul mate, Nina, met 25 years ago.

David was predeceased by his brother, Seth and his father, Albert, and is survived by his loving wife, Nina; his adoring mother, Rosalind Gordon, of Berkeley; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lisa Gitlin, Kathy Gittel, Robert Gitlin (Barb), Martin Gitlin (Mitzi), Kathy Dworkin; his nephew, Aaron Dworkin; great-nephew, Aaron Jr.; nieces, Emily and Melanie, and many close cousins including, Amy Burton, of Cincinnati, and Margery Lamden, of Seattle. David and Nina had many thoroughly loved and spoiled pets through the years, including, Rusty, China, Kayli, Smokey, Macho, Rollie, Tsippi, Blot and Maxie.

David was kind, patient, and loving. His cheerfulness, positivity, and sense of humor made me always enjoy being around him. When I was a kid, he was such a fun uncle to hang out with, and I'll cherish the memories of the time we spent together.
