William Roy

William R. Hooser, 57, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015, surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 7, 1958, to Ellsworth and Betty (Silcox) Hooser. He served in the United States Navy and graduated from Owens Community College. Bill was employed with Toledo Edison, Luther Home of Mercy and Great Lakes Home Health Care. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a dedicated fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Redwings, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Bill is survived by his mother, Betty; siblings, Darrel Hooser, Phyllis (Sam) McFarland, Jeanette Pursel, and Shirley (Barry) Keirnan; dear friend, Carolyn Doyle; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery.
