Mary N.
Mary M. Plageman, age 90, of Pemberville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016, in Otterbein Portage Valley Care Center. She was born July 27, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan to William and Marie (Lauzon) Hayek. She was a secretary at WPOS Radio and previous to this was secretary and treasurer for Plageman Ceramic and Tile Company. Mary was an
active former member of Bethel, Providence and Epiphany
Lutheran churches, and a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved to knit and crochet.
The widow of Robert G. Plageman, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Plageman-Clark. Surviving are her sons, Thomas (Linda) Plageman and Stephen (Charlene) Plageman; granddaughters, Amy (Sean) Nagley, Lesa Humphrey, Heather (Dennis) Marion, Julie (Jeff) Hall and Anna (Jason) Hensley; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey). A memorial service will take place Monday at 10 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave., Toledo where visitation will be 1 hour prior. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorials to Howard Drager Fund at Trinity

Tom, Steve, and all of the grands....I'm so sorry for your loss. Mary was such a kind and loving person who always had time for everyone. I know how much she missed Bob, and they're back together again. This doesn't make it any easier for those of us left behind, but I know they're up there with my folks and Nore and Howie telling stories about the good old days. I happened upon this obituary and am quite taken back. I guess time flies when you are apart from someone. Mary was such a kind special heart! She was always a gentle soul and taught by her walk with Christ. I am blessed to have encountered her at Providence Lutheran. Take those angel wings of yours and fly, Mary!
