Darla Jane Hufford

Darla J. Hufford, 79, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. Darla was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 15, 1938 to Ivy and Betty (Miller) Hamilton. On October 7, 1988, she married David Hufford. Darla worked as a realtor for over 30 years and served on the Toledo Board of Realtors. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and attended Echo Meadows Church of Christ. For over 40 years, Darla coached softball with Oregon Recreation and served on the board. Her hobbies included: fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors. Her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren who brought her much joy.

Darla is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Jill (Jim) Lake and Karis (Tom) Phillips; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Doug Hufford, Jim (Jeanne) Hufford and Ed (Brenda) Hufford; along with many loving family members and close friends. Darla was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimberly Barney; and brother-in-law, Tom (Marie) Hufford.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
