Merle Weiss Obituary
Merle A. Weiss, age 63, of Toledo died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born in Toledo on July 14, 1953 to Sam and Grace (Frey) Weiss. Merle was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo. Merle was the past owner and operator of the Beer Dock, a family business located at Lagrange and Huron Streets. He was a member of the Temple Congregation Shomer Emunim and the Sylvania Masonic Lodge 287. Merle enjoyed travel, especially to Aruba and LasVegas and was a passionate card player. He was a volunteer at the MS Society, the Stranhan and Valentine Theaters.
Surviving is his son, Adam (Michelle Rose) Weiss; daughter, Michele Weiss; sisters, Wendy (Joel) Speiser and Janice (Howard) Kardonsky and friends, Elana Weiss and Sanford Merkin.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-535-5840). Interment Eagle Point Cemetery, Rossford, OH.
Memorial donations are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of NW Ohio.

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of Merle. He was a kind, thoughtful man who will be missed by all who knew him. Even with all his challenges, he always tried to be upbeat. Now he will be busy running poker night amongst the Angels. Bless you Merle as you rest in eternal peace. All our heartfelt sympathy to Adam and Michele and the rest of the family.
