Phyllis Ann Ninke
Phyllis Ann Ninke, 94, formerly of Elmore, OH died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Genoa Care Center, Genoa, OH. She was born January 8, 1924 in Pemberville, OH to the late Henry J. and Caroline "Carrie" (Fahle) Poggemeyer. She was a 1942 graduate of Pemberville High School. On June 26, 1943 she married Clarence P. Ninke who preceded her in death December 12, 2011. Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. Phyllis and Clarence enjoyed spending winters in Winter Haven, FL. She was a wonderful cook and especially Christmas cookies and apple pies. She also worked in for a number of different local businesses and volunteered at Harris- Elmore School, Ottawa County Board of Elections (where she was a precinct worker), Trinity Lutheran Church, and Luther Home of Mercy.
Survivors include her children, Kathryn (James) Stroupe of Marion, OH, David (Deanna) Ninke of Oak Harbor, OH, and James (Diane) Ninke of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Timothy, Kathleen, Tricia, Brian, Matthew, and Laura; great- grandchildren, Rachel, Maren, Lindsay, Victoria, Alexandria, Tyler, Trent, Brielle, Carson, Cody, Caitlyn, McKenna, and Brecklyn. She was preceded in death by 4 siblings, a granddaughter Julie, and great-granddaughter Kayleigh.
Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, OH with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Luther Home of Mercy, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

To all of the Ninke family I just want to let you know how sad I am over the death of your Mom, who was always so kind to me. Both her and your Dad were some of Elmore's very best -they always greeted me with a smile and I miss both of them.
