WALLINGFORD - Harry W. Boothroyd, 92, of Wallingford, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was the loving husband of 68 years of the late Corinne Roche Boothroyd.

Harry was born in Rockville, April 19, 1921, a son of the late Ernest Boothroyd and Mary Maude Robertson Boothroyd. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a graduate of Boston University. Harry was employed by the U.S. Government Department of Internal Revenue Service as an auditor until his retirement.
He is survived by his five daughters, Su Boothroyd and her husband, Charles Link, of Pawcatuck, Gail Gionet and her husband, Dennis Gionet, of Northford, his twin daughters, Michele Boothroyd, of Northampton, Mass., Maureen Page and her husband, Ron Page, of Middletown, and Lynn Despard and her husband, Rick Rome, of Enfield; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his seven brothers and sisters, Charles Boothroyd, Albert Boothroyd, and Ernest Boothroyd; and Mabel Anderson, Grace Hansen, Laura Zahner and Betty Coughlin.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, on Saturday, April 27, from 10 until 11:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held in The Yalesville Funeral Home at 12 p.m. Interment will be private.
