NORTH STONINGTON - Lori Nyren, 53, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013, at home with the love of her life, Tim Buckley and faithful dogs Augie and Heidi by her side.
The Guest Book is expired.
Born Oct. 19, 1959, in Meriden, Lori was the loving and devoted companion of Tim Buckley. Lori graduated from Platt High School in Meriden and worked for several years at CUNO in Meriden before joining Hubbell Premise Wiring in Mystic, as a technical services manager in 1997. Lori will be remembered by family and friends as loving the sea. Never far from the shore and always with a twinkle in her eye, Lori was an avid boater, fisherman, reader, and Parrothead. She loved traveling to Key West, Fla. yearly for the warm water and beautiful sunsets.
Besides her beloved partner and best friend, Tim Buckley, Lori is survived by her mother, Lucille Lagana, of Meriden; and her daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Erin and Douglas Perry, of West Lafayette, Ind. She was the loving grandmother of Amelia Perry. She is also survived by her four sisters and one brother, Debbie Cox, Patti Fieber, Lisa Nyren, Katie Lagana and Jeffrey Lagana; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lori was predeceased by her stepfather, Santo Lagana.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Dachshund Rescue of North America (drna.org or by mail at DRNA Inc., 15116 Bernadette Court, Chantilly, VA 20151). A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a future date.
