MERIDEN - Myrna Milagros Vazquez-Pineda, 59, died on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Born on Aug. 30, 1954, in Juana Diaz, P.R., she was the daughter of the late Cleofe Vazquez and Myrna Raquel Collazo. Myrna resided in Meriden and Rocky Mount, N.C. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Myrna was employed as a CNA at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain and worked as a care-giver for My Brothers' Keeper, a group home in North Carolina. Myrna was also an accomplished seamstress and hairdresser. She was a very caring individual who loved life.
She is survived by her two sons, Angel A. Torres, of Hartford, Miguel Torres, of Meriden; two daughters, Vir-gen Milagros Torres, of Puerto Rico and Yahaira Torres, of Meriden; five brothers; six sisters; nine grandchil-dren; and one great-grandchild.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
