Johnny Clarence Rue Sr. TRENTON - Johnny Clarence Rue Sr., 68 of Trenton, known by many as Rue, passed away on September 21, 2013. Born in Atmore, AL he moved to Trenton in 1949, where he was raised in "South Trenton". Graduate of Trenton Central High School. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Rue was the owner of Rue Construction, he was retired from Trenton Housing Authority. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. Son of the late Annabell Rue, grandson of the late Elijah and Irie Rue who raised him and an nephew of the late Elijah (Sonny) Rue Jr. Mr. Rue is survived by Marlene Hill and their seven children Robin Rue Smith, Lisa Thompson (James), John, Jr., Kelli, Jason, Ericka & Eric Rue; a daughter Cherie McWhite; a nephew Edward Hill (Prudence); two aunts Mabel Johnson and Ianna Owens, sister-in-law Maxine Hill, his father Clarence Johnson and his family of Philadelphia, PA: 16 grandchildren, many, many cousins and friends. Memorial service will be 11am Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Hughes Funeral Home 324 Bellevue Ave. Trenton, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home

The Watkins family is so sorry to hear about Rue about (Johnnie the fix it man) passing he will be miss around here.
